Find it at the Flint Hill Store

The “Mumford” event at the Genesee Country Village & Museum is just around the corner. I want to remind everyone going that this is you chance to grab some of those “must-have” items.
The Museum offers an extensive assortment of Village Made items in their Flint Hill Store and Village Merchantile. They offer three types of hand thrown pottery with pieces for almost every kitchen use. You can find large bowls great for mixing or serving, many sizes of pitchers, pie plates, mugs, and crocks. I happen to find the crock particularly handy for things like butter or pickles.

There are many sizes of Shaker boxes, which are excellent for storing sewing projects, small accessories & millinery

pieces. I think one would make a great first aide kit as well. There is a variety of hand carved utensils.
The village tinsmiths offer lanterns as well as cookie cutters and graters.

The new display of 19th century sweets was Very tempting. These would be great additions to a comfort bag. They even have a leather pouch with a full sampling.

While you are there, you can also pick up some of the books you’ve been wanting to add to your collection. May I suggest one of Susan Greene’s books or one of my own, which I will be signing in the village
